Join Murrells Inlet 2020 for the 34th Annual Spring Tide Community Clean-Up & Chowder Cook-Off! This family-friendly event begins at 10AM at Morse Park Landing (next to Hot Fish Club) and ends with a Chowder Cook-Off at Hot Fish Club! This event is always a fun time and is a great way to support your community. In 2025, we cleaned up over 10 THOUSAND POUNDS of trash! Clean up your community and follow it up with some delicious local chowder. All volunteers are welcome to join us after clean-up for the chowder cook-off, Danny's BBQ, live music, and libations! All supplies will be provided. No need to sign-up ahead of time, just show up the day of with your reusable water bottle and comfortable shoes!

Travel with Storehouse Tours across the Waccamaw River to reach the Pee Dee River on the canopied pontoon boat Imagine with Captain Paul sharing river ecology from the helm. Local treasure and historian Lee Brockington imparts the past, present and future plans for this pre-Revolutionary War site, Hasty Point Plantation. Disembark for a tour of the grounds. Attire should include weather-appropriate outer wear and comfortable walking shoes. *This tour involves walking, standing and uneven surfaces.* Have an early lunch or bring your bag lunch on board!

Travel with Storehouse Tours and local historian Lee Brockington and licensed Captain Paul on the canopied pontoon boat Imagine down the Waccamaw River, under the bridges, into Winyah Bay, and up the Sampit River to the Historic Port of Georgetown. Learn more about the ecology of the watershed as we discuss rivers and estuaries that are some of the most intriguing in the nation. Georgetown is the third oldest port city in SC and was an important colonial harbor, shipping ''naval stores,'' beef, pork, indigo, and rice. While on board, our Revolutionary War and Civil War history is discussed as well as a focus on 20th century port activity which included the ''world's largest lumber mill,'' International Paper, Liberty Steel Mill, fishing, and shrimping. A brief disembarkation includes the SC Maritime Museum on the Harborwalk. Have an early lunch or bring your bag lunch on board!
