Sample over 65 wines from renowned vineyards around the world and enjoy delicious hors d?oeuvres prepared by the area?s best chefs. The evening will also include live music, delicious desserts, a silent auction full of wonderful items and a complimentary wine glass. Wines will also be available for purchase at prices well below retail during this special event.
Casual cocktail attire. Event held rain or shine. For over 75 years, the Prince George Winyah Church Women have hosted the Tour of Historic Plantations and Homes each spring. In this self-guided tour, visitors have a unique opportunity to tour select historic plantations, town homes, and gardens located in and around Georgetown County, South Carolina. Tickets are required, and we recommend you purchase them in advance. All money raised by the Tour is allocated to community outreach and the preservation of our historic church buildings. The success of the Tour has made a difference in the lives of the poor, the friendless, and the needy in our community, which continues to be our prayerful aim in this endeavor. The Georgetown County Chamber of Commerce and the American Red Cross are proud to partner to host a community Blood Drive in memory of local Veteran Bill Abee, the late husband of longtime Chamber team member Sharon Abee.
Blood drives are vital to saving lives — every donation can help up to three patients in need, from accident victims and surgery patients to those battling cancer or chronic illnesses. The need for blood is constant, and drives like this ensure hospitals in our community and across the nation have the lifesaving supply they rely on.
This event also honors the life and service of Bill Abee, a proud veteran who dedicated his life to his family, his country, and his community. By giving blood, we not only remember Bill’s legacy but also extend his spirit of service to others in need.
We invite Chamber members, friends, and community residents to join us in this important effort. Your donation will make a difference — and together, we can honor Bill's memory by giving the gift of life.
