\n\n&ldquo\;He was still around and singing wonderfully. I went to see him in concert. He had an almost classical breathing style when he sang. It was this Italian bel canto\, almost operatic. It&rsquo\;s why he could sing well into his 90s&hellip\; when I saw him\, he sang for 90 minutes straight with no intermission\,&rdquo\; \;Gransden \;said. &ldquo\;His attention to lyrics and melody makes him one of the greatest singers.&rdquo\;
\n\nBennett \;passed at 96 in 2023 after a battle with Alzheimer&rsquo\;s\, but his legacy has remained a powerful influence for \;Gransden. That is so true\, in fact\, that he wrote a show dedicated to \;Bennett.
