Waccamaw Week is an Free annual public educational community event focused on the importance of our natural water resources and efforts to protect them. For five decades, Jim Fitch has been the steadfast heart of The Rice Museum in Georgetown, SC, guiding us with vision and passion. It?s with immense joy that we host an exhibit dedicated to his enduring legacy: 50 Years of Collecting and Creating. This is a heartfelt journey through the art and artifacts that have shaped our beloved museum, all seen through the eyes of the man who has cherished them the most.
Jim Fitch?s tenure as Director has been a cornerstone of the art community here in Georgetown, and far beyond. This special exhibit is our way of honoring his significant contributions and the lasting impact he has made. We?ve curated a collection that reflects his dedication, his discerning eye, and his tireless efforts in bringing remarkable pieces into our collection. Featuring a cast of over 35 of the nation’s most talented performers, The Carolina Opry show spans all genres to bring you the best hits of yesterday and today.
